Wood is a living thing. Even after death, it moves and breathes.

Materials: Walnut burl and maple
I wanted to create something out of wood that felt fluid and alive, rather than stiff and rigid. Without compromising function, the three sturdy walnut legs were turned on a lathe and steam bent. The burl table-top is from a fallen grafted English Walnut found at an orchard. The top was planed smooth by hand in order enhance the constantly changing grain.
